These were just shocking when I received them- they look like a man boot- really oversized and the fit was a size too big everywhere- I had to Check to make sure I didn’t order an actual men’s boot- sending back!

I love these, but sent them back because I live in Florida and it is too warm most of the time for a lace up boot. These would be great for cooler climates. They are very well made and beautiful boots.

These were surprisingly huge. I held up another boot of mine to this boot and the madewell boots honestly look like they are men’s. Super disappointed in how they fit. Returning.

I feel the boot runs true to size. I am normally an 8 to 8 1/2 shoe size. I ordered the 8 1/2 and think it felt a big big on my foot. The 8 would have been perfect. However I did end up returning, as I didn’t care for the style as much as I thought I would. The leather felt flimsy and not as well made as I hoped.

I’m not sure what the other reviewer expected from these boots, but in my opinion, they are exactly what the images show. Think of them as slender, more elegant combat boots. I got my usual size 8 M, but had to exchange them for 7.5 M, which are perfect. Btw, I did try size 7 M too, but those were too tight. They look and feel incredible, and make my ankles look slim. The leather is super soft and they, not bulky at all, and hugs the foot/leg perfectly. The sole is chunky, although, still comfortable. I highly recommend these. I got two colors: Dark Cabernet (almost brown, but with a hint of burgundy) and the English Saddle. Both look great with jeans and dresses. The only thing that would make them better is a side zipper, but oh well. Love these boots!

These boots are beautiful leather.they have nice cushioning but no arch support. I found them to be too tight in the heel and not flexible enough. But run true to size length wise.

the fit was definitely true to size. if you have a wider foot I think you would experience some discomfort breaking them in. They look clunky when you first pull them out of the box, but thats not the case the more you wear. They are breaking in nicely, the leather is supple enough that my feet haven’t hurt too bad. There are very light weight, but they have zero are support for those that need it.

The leather seemed high quality, but I think glued on soles really feel like fashion shoes that are not built to last. I am returning

Fantastic quality! They’re chunky and very stylish. I can see myself wearing these with almost anything from jeans to a dress. They definitely run a little small though. So size up if you want to wear thick socks. I got blisters the first couple times I wore them but after breaking them in I’m really pleased.

I ordered another pair of Madewell boots, similar style, same size. This one felt longer in the heel, it slipped and rubbed when I walk. I had to return to Zappos. The shoe looks worse in person than photo, the thick black platform sole looks mismatched to the brown leather, like the factory had a bunch of left over black soles and decided to use them with brown uppers. I probably would not keep the shoe even if the fit was better.

I have these boots in a size 6. I’d say they feel true to size. They are a little stiff and need to be broken in and kind of rub against my heel, but that’s my only real complaint. Aesthetically, I like that there is no zipper closure, but it does make getting them on and off a little bit more of a process. I also like that the leg opening fits close to the leg or can be tied to fit closer to the leg, because I have very small calves and ankles and don’t like it when my boots create huge gaps.

I thought these shoes looked cute in the pictures. But I felt like a clown when I tried them on with how chunky the soles were. The shoes just felt way oversized for my body even though they were the right size.

These are comfortable and stylish. The leater is soft and there is nice flexibility to the sole.

I have had these boots for YEARS and worn them for 12-14 hours at a time. They have held up with no major issues but the laces started to look junky. I will say they run super narrow so they make your foot look very big and if you have wider feet these aren’t going to work for you.
